The United States’ Woodmere is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) located in Nassau County, New York, within the Town of Hempstead. In 2020, there were 18,669 people living there.

Many Modern Orthodox Jewish families have settled in Woodmere, and the town and most of the Five Towns now have several synagogues.
There were 5,349 homes, of which 38.8% included children under the age of 18, 76.5% consisted of married couples living together, 5.7% included a female householder living alone, and 15.4% did not include a family. Thirteen percent of all households were made up of single people, and seven percent of them included a single person 65 years of age or older. The mean dimensions of households and families were 3.01 and 3.32, respectively.
The population of the CDP was dispersed, with 5.8% being between the ages of 18 and 24, 23.2% being between the ages of 25 and 44, 25.7% being between the ages of 45 and 64, and 17.3% being 65 or older. It was 41 years old on average. There were 95.4 men for every 100 females. There were 91.6 males for every 100 girls over the age of 18.
In the CDP, the median income for a family was $119,402 and the typical income for a household was $93,212. The median salary for men was $76,266 while it was $41,393 for women. In the CDP, the per capita income was $41,699. 5.1% of people under the age of 18 and 4.0% of people 65 and above were among the approximately 3.5% of families and 4.3% of the population living in poverty.
The CDP is 2.7 square miles (7.0 km2) in total, of which 2.6 square miles (6.6 km2) are land and 0.1 square mile (0.4 km2) (5.19%) is water, according to the United States Census Bureau.
Climate
The winters in Woodmere are damp and chilly, while the summers are pleasant and mostly dry.[Reference required] July’s average high is 83, while January’s is 39. In March 2017, the Jewish day school Hebrew Academy of Long Beach (HALB) Elementary School for grades 1–8 relocated from Long Beach to Woodmere. The Davis Renov Stahler Yeshiva High School for Boys (DRS), an all-boys high school, is likewise situated in Woodmere.
Preschool through grade 12 coeducational preparation school is Lawrence Woodmere Academy.
The Woodmere Volunteer Fire Department provides services to Woodmere. It offers Woodmere advanced life support, fire protection, and rescue services. There are about seventy-five volunteers in it.
