Water encircles Kings Point on three sides. It borders Manhasset Bay to the east, Little Neck Bay to the west, and the Long Island Sound to the north.

The Lake Success Shared Services Center, managed by Sumitomo Corporation, is located south of Lake Success in the Town of North Hempstead in Suite 220 at 1999 Marcus Avenue. Hain Celestial Group and Broadridge Financial Solutions are two businesses with headquarters in Lake Success.

In addition, Canon U.S.A., Inc. was based in Lake Success. Early in the 2010s, Canon U.S.A. relocated its corporate headquarters to Melville, in nearby Suffolk County.

The settlement had 5,076 residents, 1,401 households, and 1,203 families as of the 2000 census. There were 1,519.0 people per square mile (586.5/km2) at that population density. At an average density of 435.4 per square mile (168.1/km2), there were 1,455 dwelling units. With 91.67% of its population being White, 0.87% African American, 0.08% Native American, 3.55% Asian, 0.65% from other races, and 3.19% from two or more races, the community was composed of races. Latinos or Hispanics of any race made up 1.95% of the total population.

With 29.7% of its residents claiming Iranian Jewish ancestry, Kings Point was the most Iranian-populated city in the US as of 2000.

Among the 1,401 homes, 38.0% included children under the age of 18, 79.7% consisted of married couples living together, 4.0% included a female householder living alone, and 14.1% did not belong to a family. Individuals made up 11.9% of all households, and 7.4% of them had a single person 65 years of age or older. The mean dimensions of households were 3.14 and families were 3.38 on average.

Village government

Kouros “Kris” Torkan is the mayor of Kings Point as of March 2023. Hooshang Nematzadeh is the deputy mayor, while Ira S. Nesenoff, Tedi Kashinejad, and Shahriar (Ebi) Victory are the village trustees.

Village police

There is a police department in the Village of Kings Point. Therefore, the Kings Point Police Department is in charge of offering police protection services inside the village.

Daniel Flanagan is the Kings Point Police Department’s commissioner as of March 2023.

Kings Point is fully included inside the Great Neck Union Free School District’s limits, and as such, it receives its education from it. Therefore, Great Neck is home to all village residents’ children who attend public schools.

In addition, Great Neck North Middle School is situated on Kings Point’s boundary with the Incorporated Village of Great Neck, while John F. Kennedy Elementary School is situated inside the village.

Library district

Kings Point is fully contained inside the Great Neck Library District’s limits, making it a part of it.

Higher education

In 2003 at the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

Within the town, beside Little Neck Bay, is the US Merchant Marine Academy.
